Dream-Sueño


Last night I dreamt that I was painting works for an exhibition. The show was going to be called "South of The Border" and the paintings had Latin American themes. When all the pictures were ready to be titled and signed, three kids walked into the studio and asked me what I was doing. I told them not to bother me. One of them sat on a painting and I warned him against damaging it. I went to another room looking for ink and when I came back the kids had left. Then I noticed that the picture was gone. The kids had run away with it. I went after them but couldn't find them. They must have gone into a school playground with lots of other kids of their age and I couldn't see them. Loosing that painting annoyed me greatly. I woke up very pissed off then went straight to the computer and re-created it. It was EXACTLY like this. I was going to call it "Canal Zone".

Anoche soñe que estaba pintando para una muestra que iba a llamar "South of the Border". Las obras tenian temas latinoamericanos y cuando estaban listas para ser tituladas y firmadas, tres chicos entraron al estudio, me preguntaron que estaba haciendo y les dije que se dejen de joder porque estaba ocupado. Uno de ellos se sento sobre una pintura y le adverti que la podia dañar. Me fui a buscar un tintero y al volver la pintura habia desaparecido. Los chicos se la habian robado. Sali a la calle a buscarlos pero se habian escondido en el patio de una escuela y no pude encontrarlos. Estaba furioso por haber perdido esa pintura y me desperte frustrado y cabrero. Entonces fui directamente a la computadora y la recree. Era EXACTAMENTE ASI. La iba a llamar "Canal Zone"
