Archie The Anteater

Drawn ages ago for a story written by my good friend Peter Elbling also know as the actor "Harold Oblong". I regret having added that dreadful texture to the pictures.
Dibujado hace un monton de tiempo para una historia escrita por mi buen amigo Peter Elbling, tambien conocido como el actor "Harold Oblong". Todavia no entiendo porque le agregue esa textura de mierda a estos dibujos.

Oscar your work blows me away again and again. I never know what to expect. The Ant Eater illo up top is fantastic. I'm interested in the story behind this.

I've met Peter Elbing in the early seventies.

He is an Englishman living in L.A, acting in movies and TV. He liked LA for the work but missed Europe very much, after a short trip to Paris he wrote the story of an anteater from North Topeka who dreams with travelling to Paris for the cultural life but ends finding that there are not as many ants in Paris as there are in America...In few words, an autobiography.

I've done some drawings to his text, written in rhyme in the style of Doctor Seuss, Peter liked them and for the last thirty years we been looking for a publisher!!!

He recorded himself in a live show reciting the text with the drawings projected behind him.
When I commented about this posting he informed that he just performed the show in Canada, in a writer's congress.

Nowadays Peter is a well recognised published author of novels
